Hydralyteâ„¢ is a scientifically formulated rehydration solution for the prevention and relief of dehydration. Hydralyte’s products are in line with the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines and contain the correct balance of ingredients required for rapid hydration.

Hydralyte is launching a range of innovative and great tasting new products in the US and Canada, and searching for an experienced, entrepreneurial and high caliber marketing professional to play a pivotal role in realizing the North American opportunity.

Position

The Director of Medical Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy to establish Hydralyte as the recommended choice for clinical rehydration by health care professionals.

Reporting to the Senior VP Marketing, General Manager, this individual will join a team charged with redefining the oral rehydration category and spearheading innovative plans to realize the opportunity.

The director is responsible for the strategy, development and execution of an integrated medical marketing approach/programs to establish Hydralyte as the solution of choice for a wide range of medical professionals and institutions, including:

  • Deliver effective communications to pharmacists, physicians and other health care professionals

  • Provide health-care professionals with critical tools and communications to educate their patients about dehydration and Hydralyte

  • Develop and execute a key opinion leader strategy, to foster critical relationships with expert physicians and healthcare professionals

  • Establish Hydralyte as the “go-to” authority on both the science of dehydration as well as solutions for prevention and treatment. Identify and foster relevant associations with advocacy groups. Other potential activations include speaker programs, publications and continuing education programs

The director of marketing will also partner closely with Hydralyte’s consumer marketing and retail marketing / sales teams to:

  • Deliver effective in-pharmacy activation to support distribution and volume in the retail pharmacy channel

  • Raise consumer awareness of the science of dehydration and provide compelling patient education programs

Preferred Candidate

  • Minimum of a B.A., ideally with an MBA

  • At least 5-7 years of overall professional experience

  • Proven successful marketing professional and manager with experience in regulated field, preferably medical marketing focused OTC and/or pharmaceutical companies

  • Agency experience along with corporate experience is a plus

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

  • Demonstrated experience with leading and developing an integrated Marketing Plan and budget

  • Consistently displays integrity, models behavior, develops people and builds collaborative teams

  • Excellent emotional intelligence with superior interpersonal, listening and written communication skills

  • Demonstrates creative ability, coupled with considerable thoroughness and attention to detail

  • Solid analytical skills and the ability to translate into financial initiatives
